GCSE’s and Functional Skills

Flexible online learning, from the comfort of your own home! I offer these as 1:1 sessions and small group tutoring using MS Teams. I offer sessions in GCSE English Language, GCSE Literature, GCSE Business and Functional Skills maths and English.

Exam boards for all subjects covered include: Wjec, Pearson and AQA.

English texts covered include: An Inspector Calls, A Christmas Carol, Jekyll and Hyde, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet.

Poetry anthologies include: Love an Relationships, Power and Conflict

For all sessions, I use a range of PowerPoint presentations alongside live questioning and exemplar answers from me during the call. Students can see concepts modelled clearly, then have a go themselves. Each session is tailor-made to the individual student and what they would like to work on.

Before the sessions take place, a plan will be discussed to create a framework that is tailor-made for each student, based on their needs. After every session, I also send feedback via WhatsApp, which usually will give you a clear picture of what they’ve been doing and how they’re progressing.

Online sessions still include:

  • Interactive activities tailored to the student

  • Exam techniques

  • A balance of teaching, discussion, and exploration

Small Group tutoring

Small group tuition is available for:

  • GCSE English Language

  • GCSE English Literature

  • GCSE Business studies.

Students will be in groups of 4-6 and follow a termly plan.

With the small group tutoring sessions, students are able to join more than one group.

Payments are made in advance for a 4 week block. For example, if you choose GCSE English Language and GCSE Business studies, this would be £130 per month.

  • Payment is requested in advance and payments can be made for a full half term or in 4-week block.

  • 1 hour per week £50 per hour

    2 hours per week £45 per hour

    3 hours per week £40 per hour

  • 1 subject £120 pm

    2 subjects £130 pm

    3 subjects £140 pm
