Terms and Conditions

When booking sessions with The Test Weston, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before your first session. These terms apply to all students and parents/guardians engaging our tutoring services.

1. Cancellations

1.1 A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel a session. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice will be charged at the full session rate. If cancelled within 48 hours, the session can be rearranged, if the tutor has availability.

1.2 Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in the termination of tuition to allow the space to be offered to another student.

1.3 To discontinue sessions permanently, at least four weeks' written notice must be given before the end of a half-term, or a clear end date must be agreed between the tutor and client at the start of sessions.

1.4 In the unlikely event that the tutor must cancel a session, as much advance notice as possible will be given and every effort will be made to reschedule or move the payment to the following session.

1.5 Group classes cannot be cancelled by individual students. If a student is absent with at least two hours' notice, the session will be recorded and resources provided so that no learning is lost

2.Payments

2.1 Payment for each half-term block is due by the Friday before the half-term commences. All payments must clearly referenced using the student's full name.

2.2 Payment must be made by bank transfer only. Account details will be provided upon enrolment.

2.3 Late payment may, at the tutor's discretion, result in the suspension or termination of sessions until the outstanding balance has been settled.

2.4 Session fees are reviewed periodically. You will be given a minimum of four weeks' written notice of any changes to the fee structure.

3. Recordings

3.1 One-to-one tutoring sessions are not recorded under any circumstances.

3.2 Group sessions may be recorded solely for the purpose of catch-up if a student is absent. Parents or guardians must notify the tutor at least two hours in advance so that the recording can be prepared appropriately.

3.3 Recordings are for the personal use of the enrolled student only and must not be shared with third parties.

4. Resources

4.1 Students will have access to resources from the tutor to support their learning. Resources may be downloaded for the student's personal use and future reference.

4.2 All resources provided are for the exclusive use of the enrolled student and must not be distributed, reproduced, or shared with others.

5. Homework

5.1 Any homework set by the tutor will be reviewed at the beginning of the following session. Students are encouraged to attempt all tasks to maximise the benefit of each session.

5.2 Additional marking or written feedback outside of session time can be requested and will be completed at an agreed rate.

6. Results & Liability

6.1 The tutor is committed to supporting each student's progress; however, exam outcomes are not guaranteed. Final results depend on a wide range of factors, including the student's own effort, revision, and exam-day performance.

6.2 The tutor's role is to facilitate learning and build confidence. Responsibility for adequate preparation ultimately rests with the student and their family.

6.3 The tutor accepts no liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of resources, recorded materials, or advice given during sessions.

7. Conduct

7.1 Respectful conduct is expected from all students during sessions. Behaviour that is disruptive, offensive, or makes the learning environment unsafe may result in sessions being ended without a refund.

7.2 The tutor reserves the right to terminate the tutoring relationship with appropriate notice if conduct issues persist.

8. Privacy

8.1 Personal data collected during enrolment (including name, contact details, and academic information) is held securely and used solely for the purpose of delivering tutoring services.

8.2 Information will not be shared with third parties without consent, except where required by law.
